Inspection and Air Testing Keeps Your Children Healthy
You know, it’s really all about the health and well-being of our children isn’t it? We trust our children with so many strangers, grown ups that we assume are intelligent, moral, and responsible. You’d like to think that they are doing everything in their power to make 100% sure that our children are safe in schools, in churches and temples, when they are being transported here and there. But out of all of these places, the one place where they spend the most time is in their own home and we owe it to them as responsible parents to make sure the home is safe from environmental hazards like caustic cleaning chemicals, formaldehyde, and toxic mold growth.
Now we are starting to get it. Mold growing in your home could be responsible for the allergic reaction and illnesses that we think are “just going around” when in fact we could be causing them. Our own negligence could be making our children sick. A little simple awareness and home maintenance could be all that is required to take the first step in reducing or eliminating the illnesses that our children have to suffer through. What higher motivation could you possible need to check for hazardous mold growth and other indoor air quality problems in your home? Mold could be growing underneath the carpeting, behind baseboards, behind drywall. In humid homes mold can grow unnoticed as a thin powdery film on the clothes in the closet. Bacteria can grow inside humidifiers in babies room or inside babies toys. Mold could be growing beneath your kitchen or bathroom sink and behind your washer and dryer. You need to make a visual inspection of all these places today and if you have the slightest suspicion that mold is growing give us a call and we’ll come out and give your home a thorough once over to make sure you are fully aware whether or not a mold problem exist. If  your home checks out ok, you’ll rest more easy knowing you have been good, responsible parents and you’ll feel great about yourself. If there is a problem, we’ll let you know every step you must take to immediately have the problem fixed. You see, it’s no lose situation for you. When you have your home mold inspected, you win whether there is mold or not. So why not give us a call today, for the sake of your family’s health and well-being.
Did you know that formaldehyde is a commonly used man made chemical. Exposure can cause many health problems including but not limited to respiratory problems and even cancer. In March 2015 a 60 minutes news story aired nationally showing that some Chinese made flooring from Lumber Liquidators contained high levels of formaldehyde. The 60 minutes test used involved sampling the actual floor materials. At A Accredited we can test the air in your home to determine the actual levels of formaldehyde in your home air. This chemical comes from new building materials, fuel burning stoves, and other common sources including but not limited to all flooring, cabinets, paints, and other materials in your home.  You will know at the time of the inspection the actual levels in your air to the parts per million.
Allergens from cats, dogs, rats, mice, roaches, and dust mites are more common in homes than you may think.
The prevalence of these allergen sources in homes often go unnoticed, yet their effects on us and our children can be quite dramatic. Coughing, sneezing, watery eyes, itchy throat, runny nose, and other cold like symptoms can cause misery and many missed school days in our children.
At A Accredited we can test for allergens in your home.
